This article is for clients using the Oasys client iOS app.
Settings is where you manage your profile, security, time zone, notifications, data integrations, billing, crisis resources, and sign-out in the Oasys iOS app.
In this article:
1. Open Settings
Tap Settings in the bottom tab bar (gear icon). At the top, your name and email open Profile.
If you have more than one account on this login, you’ll also see Switch account (see Switching accounts (guardians & minors)).
2. Profile
Navigation title: Profile.
Sections can include:
Basic Information (or Minor's Information on a child account)
Parent/Guardian (child accounts)
Address
Insurance (when shown)
Emergency Contact
Empty fields show Not provided. Tap a section to edit. For your photo, use Profile photo — Take photo / Choose photo / Save photo.
Insurance card images: View insurance cards on web.
3. Security & two-factor
Open Security.
Change password — enter Current Password, New Password, Confirm New Password (criteria include 8+ characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, special character), then Update Password.
Face ID & app lock: Sign in with Face ID stores your password on this device, protected by Face ID, so the login screen can sign you in. Turn it on here and it takes effect at your next password sign-in; turn it off and the stored password is deleted right away. Google sign-in accounts do not have this row, because there is no password to store.
Lock after inactivity locks Oasys after 15 minutes of inactivity. Unlock with Face ID or your device passcode and you return to the screen you left. After 4 hours of inactivity, Oasys signs you out. Switch it off and Oasys signs you out at 15 minutes instead.
Two-factor authentication:
On: “Two-factor authentication is on” → Turn Off, with Manage on oasys.health underneath
Off: “Two-factor authentication is off” → Set Up Two-Factor Authentication, with Set up on oasys.health instead underneath
💡 Set Up Two-Factor Authentication opens a sheet in the app: copy the setup key into your authenticator app, or scan the code from another device, then type or paste the first 6-digit code. Turn Off asks you to confirm, then asks for the current code from your authenticator app. The link underneath opens your account settings on the website inside the app, already signed in. On a phone you ticked Trust this device for 30 days on, changing your password and opening that link each ask for the code once first.
Google sign-in accounts show that password and 2FA are managed by Google.
4. Time zone
Open Time Zone to see your current zone. When your device moves, Oasys may ask Change time zone to {zone}? — times for appointments and reminders will switch if you confirm.
5. Notifications
Open Notifications to choose alerts for bookings, documents, therapist updates, practice announcements, and secure messages. Each type can offer channels such as Push, Email, and SMS (SMS may require adding/verifying a phone number when that option is available).
Session reminder timing (for example 1 hour before / 1 day before) is set in the channel sheet.
MOOD REMINDERS — daily reminders to log your mood (see Health, Mood & Diary Cards).
If push is off at the system level, you’ll be prompted to Open Settings in iOS.
Practice announcements themselves are read from the Home bell → Announcements.
6. Data Integrations & Data Sharing
Data Integrations — connect Apple Health and wearables (when health features are on and you are viewing your own account).
Data Sharing — choose which health and mood categories your provider can see.
Details: Health, Mood & Diary Cards.
When diary cards are enabled, TRACKING → Mood Journal also appears here.
7. Billing shortcut
Under BILLING & PAYMENTS, open Billing & Payments for cards, autopay, invoices, and superbills. Full guide: Billing & payments.
8. Contact Us & Crisis Resources
Under SUPPORT:
Contact Us — opens in-app support messaging (Intercom). If needed, a fallback Contact Support form lets you describe your issue and Submit.
Crisis Resources — “If you or someone you know is in crisis” with Call 988 and text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line.
💡 The patient app does not include a Help Center article browser. You’re reading help outside the app (or via links your practice shares).
9. Sign out
Tap Sign out, confirm on Sign Out — “Are you sure you want to sign out?” The row shows Signing out… while it finishes, and it ends your session on this device only, so a browser you are signed in to stays signed in. After about 15 minutes of inactivity, Oasys locks until you unlock it with Face ID or your device passcode, and that idle time counts while the app is closed, so reopening it after 15 idle minutes shows the lock screen first. Oasys signs you out after 4 hours of inactivity, or 24 hours after you last signed in. If you switch Lock after inactivity off under Settings → Security, Oasys signs you out at 15 minutes.
