This article is for clients using the Oasys client iOS app.
When your practice enables clinical tracking, the Oasys app lets you log mood, complete DBT diary cards, connect Apple Health and wearables, and control what your therapist can see.
In this article:
1. Mood check-in & Journal
On Home, when mood is on and Diary Card is not taking that slot, you’ll see How are you feeling today? with emotions such as Happy, Sad, Tired, Anxious, Angry, Calm. After logging: Checked in: plus your mood.
Open the full journal (title: Journal) for more detail:
New Entry / Edit Entry — choose how you feel, a more specific emotion, activities, time, and notes
Stats: Average Mood, Entries This Week
Empty: Start Tracking Your Mood with Check In Now
If Diary Card is enabled for you, mood leaves Home and appears under Settings in TRACKING → Mood Journal.
Child accounts may not show the same clinical tracking surfaces — ask your practice what’s enabled.
2. Diary Card
When diary cards are enabled, Home shows Diary Card with Tap to fill out today, In progress, or Done for today.
Open Diary Card and pick a day (you can fill today or past days — not future days).
Work through Emotions, Urges, Behaviors, Skills, and Notes.
Use Save Draft anytime, or Complete & Submit when finished.
Anything you save, including drafts, is shared with your therapist to support treatment (see the in-app disclosure).
Open How It Works in the diary for a short DBT explainer.
If safety-related items are elevated, a crisis banner appears with 988 and Crisis Text Line guidance. You can keep filling out the card; your therapist is notified.
3. Health snapshot & Data Integrations
On Home, when you have connected sources, Health snapshot can show SLEEP AVG, CALORIES, and STEPS.
To connect devices:
Go to Settings → Data Integrations.
Read “Connect health apps and wearables to get richer insights about your wellness journey.”
Tap a provider (Tap to connect, Reconnect Required, or Coming Soon).
For Apple Health, follow Connect Apple Health, Sync Now, and permission steps. You can Manage What Oasys Can Read in iOS Health settings.
Examples of providers you may see: Apple Health, Google Health (Fitbit), Garmin, Strava, Oura Ring, Whoop, and others. Fitbit and Google Fit aren’t offered for a new connection, because both are being switched off; if you already have one, its row stays with the date it stops syncing and a button to connect Google Health (Fitbit) instead. Disconnect with options to Keep my data or Delete my data.
Health surfaces, including Data Integrations for Apple Health and wearables, appear only while you are viewing your own account. A guardian viewing a child’s account does not see them. A minor signed in on their own account does. Apple Health reads the data on the phone in your hand, so it can only be added to your own account.
4. Data Sharing
In Settings → Data Sharing:
Control what data your provider can see. Disabling a category hides it from your therapist's view.
HEALTH DATA — Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Daily Metrics, Body, Menstruation (when available)
MOOD DATA — Mood Journal Entries
5. Mood reminders
Under Settings → Notifications → MOOD REMINDERS, turn on Mood journal reminders and set frequency (Hourly, Twice daily, Daily, Weekly). If iOS notifications are off, the app will prompt you to Open Settings.
6. Charts & AI (website)
💡 Detailed health insights charts are available on the Oasys website (not in the iOS app). Data Integrations points you to oasys.health for connected data and insights.
An AI Health Assistant is not available in the patient iOS app.
