This article is for clients using the Oasys client iOS app.
Home is your main hub in the Oasys app: your next session, what needs attention, mood or diary check-in, a health snapshot (when connected), and shortcuts to message your therapist and open notifications.
In this article:
1. Open Home
Tap Home in the bottom tab bar (house icon). This tab is always available once you’re past sign-in and setup gates.
If you manage more than one account, confirm you’re on the right person first (Settings → Switch account).
2. Greeting & notifications bell
At the top you’ll see a time-based greeting such as Good morning, / Good afternoon, / Good evening, plus your name (or a combined minor & guardian name when you’re viewing a child’s account). The date uses your stored time zone.
Tap the bell to open Notifications:
Inbox items from your practice and care team
A pinned Announcements row (practice posts)
Mark All Read when you have unread items
Empty state: You're all caught up — “New notifications will show up here.”
In Announcements, filter Active or Archived. Opening an announcement marks it read. Swipe to Archive or Unarchive.
💡 To choose push, email, or SMS for reminders, go to Settings → Notifications. Mood journal reminders are configured there too.
3. Next session & your therapist
When scheduling is available on your account, Home shows a session / therapist block. You may see:
Live now with timing, and Join Now for telehealth
Next session with date/time, and Join Session when joining is allowed
Session ended after a visit finishes
No upcoming session — “Let's find a time that works for you” with Book a Session (if your therapist allows booking)
Or your therapist’s name with optional Message {first name}
Tap the therapist area to open the Therapist Profile sheet (education, about, approach, and more when provided). For a deeper tour, see Your therapist connection.
If you’re not connected yet, you may see Connect with a Therapist — “Find a therapist to start your care journey” (informational; connection usually happens through your practice’s invite).
💡 You can typically join a video session from about 15 minutes before the start through the scheduled end. The app does not show a separate “join 15 minutes early” tip on Home — the join button simply becomes available in that window.
4. Mood or Diary Card
When clinical tracking is on for you:
How are you feeling today? — quick emotions such as Happy, Sad, Tired, Anxious, Angry, Calm. After you check in: Checked in: plus your mood.
Or a Diary Card card: Tap to fill out today, In progress, or Done for today.
If Diary Card is enabled for you, the mood check-in leaves Home and Mood Journal moves under Settings → Mood Journal (TRACKING). Details: Health, Mood & Diary Cards.
5. Needs attention
The Needs attention section lists items that need you, with View →:
Unpaid Invoice / Unpaid Invoices — amount outstanding or overdue
Pending Document / Pending Documents — overdue count, next due date, or action required
Tap through to pay under Settings → Billing & Payments or open Documents.
6. Health snapshot
When health features are on and you’ve connected a data source, Home can show Health snapshot with tiles like SLEEP AVG, CALORIES, and STEPS.
Empty copy: “No health data available yet. Data will appear once your connected device syncs.”
Connect apps and wearables in Settings → Data Integrations. Health surfaces, including Data Integrations, appear only while you are viewing your own account. A guardian viewing a child’s account does not see them; a minor signed in on their own account does. Apple Health reads the data on the phone in your hand, so it can only be added to your own account.
💡 Detailed health charts and insights are available on the Oasys website (not in the iOS app). The Data Integrations footer points you to oasys.health.
7. Empty Home
If nothing is pending and few features apply, you may see You're all caught up — “Nothing needs your attention right now.”
Frequently asked questions
Where do I message my therapist from Home?
Use Message {name} (or the message control) on the session/therapist block. Messages is not a bottom tab.I don’t see Sessions or Documents on the tab bar.
Your practice may not have those areas enabled for this account. Home still shows what’s available. Contact your practice if you expected them. Why don’t I see a mood check-in?
Mood may be off for your practice, you may be on a Diary Card workflow instead, or clinical access may be limited on a minor account.Announcements vs Notifications?
The bell opens your notification inbox; Announcements is the pinned practice feed inside that sheet.
